Letter from Anonymous

I wrote many letters when I first began my healing journey. I wrote letters to those that I had hurt, feeling that they truly deserved an apology.

I wrote from my heart and shed many tears; the writing itself became healing. I didn’t write to receive a response, I wrote because for me, it felt like the right thing to do.

In each apology, I made sure to only take accountability for my own actions within the relationship and in turn the regret and guilt I carried disappeared. When we point the finger, there are always 3 pointing back at us— that is a fact.

There is true freedom in humility and accountability. It brings our darkness to the light— it opens our hearts to a deep love and compassion for self & others. Not I to say that we must accept poor treatment from others or always allow people back into our lives, but we can honor their journey and hold space for them to accept our faults as well as their own.

If there is something eating at your heart, perhaps, writing a letter may help the healing process, as it did for me. You don’t always have to send it. You can write it, burn it and release it to I AM and the cosmic intelligence Know that good intentions are a win. Forgiveness of self and others is part of the path to wholeness, and we have all hurt someone. If people are meant to be in our lives, they will come back around. Keep your eye on the present and keep moving forward with love in your heart and you can’t go wrong.
